Graceful Degradation_2021

With the COVID-19 pandemic setting the stage, Graceful Degradation looks beyond the screen and questions how ubiquitous online presence may be affecting our humanity. By focusing on embellished human features and explosive emotions, the pieces in this series exaggerate modern concepts that have been brought by increased technological connection.

The title of the show is a play on the methodology ‘graceful degradation,’ a design and programming approach that ensures system functionality in response to drastic changes or failing components.
